A brief history of Jay & Rob's Windscreens.
Jay had been working for Silver Shield Windscreens for about 12 years when the company was sold to Kwik-Fit which prompted him to look for another employer, after a short term for a local Body shop he then decided to set up on his own.As the company grew taking on work for dealerships including Audi, Hyundai, Lancia, Mercedes Benz, Nissan, Peugeot, Scania, Skoda, Suzuki & Volkswagen, the work load once again became too much so he managed to talk Rob into joining.
Rob had worked at Silver Shield Windscreens for over 15 years but left about 6 months after Jay, he then joined
Limited where he stayed for about 2 years before becoming a partner in
Jay & Rob's Windscreens.In May 2004 the company purchased the old Silver Shield workshop in Takeley and Harlow Windscreens.
In September 2004 we began our window tinting service.
Paul Jordan (Chalkie) joined in July 2006 formerly manager of
Limited Harlow Branch.In May 2009 Marie Craske (Ree - Jays Better Half) joined our team as the Office Manager, Ree used to manage National Windscreens at Staples Corner and has been in the windscreen trade for over 15 years.
Laura Stuart (Rob's daughter) joined the office in June 2010 as Admin & Accounts Assistant.
James Stuart (Jimmy - Rob's son) joined as an Apprentice in November 2010.
Steve Hesketh (Scuba) joined the team in June 2011 from
and has over 23 years experience.
